The Honorable Beth P. Gesner was designated as the Chief Magistrate Judge on October 1, 2017.  She succeeded the Honorable William G. Connelly who retired from judicial service on September 30, 2017.  Judge Connelly had served as Chief Magistrate Judge since November 19, 2012.  Judge Gesner was appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge in May 1999.
